Love this campsite. They deliver pizza they do pick up trash and they will fill your propane tanks for you. Great all-around service and the views not bad either.
Smiths was one of the best camping experiences I've ever had. The staff was so friendly and the best part was that they had great food at the landing. We were going to originally stay untill Sunday but we had so much fun that we stayed an extra night. The tubing was so fun we did it twice and we already made reservations for next year :) can't wait to eat 15 more sundaes!!
Called office on 9/27 asked if they had "cabins" available and was crystal clear was told there were many available. Only wanted a Friday night so I was told no reservations allowed for one night totally understandable. Called again Friday 9/29 to confirm cabins were available and was told to come on down many were left. After 1.5 hr drive arrived to have the desk clerk tell me oh thought you said camping not cabin sorry. Then asked why I was deceived I was called a liar and that I never said cabin. Whoever the guy behind the counter you are extremely rude and based on the other reviews I'm clearly not the only one that thinks so. Appreciate you wasting my Friday night with 3 hours of pointless driving because you thought I said camping not cabin. Don't ever insult people's integrity you don't even know.
The lady who ran the concessions at The Landing refused to serve alcohol to our group of 25+ older group. She claimed her reasoning was because my boss offered to buy everyone a drink on her card and that was against state policy. When we decided we no longer wanted alcohol and tried to purchase snacks she refused. She then followed our group outside of the building and proceeded to yell at them in front of all other people in the vicinity. We had no problem showing ID as this is an office vacation and everyone ranges in age of 25-35, no one was belligerently drunk and we only wanted a beer a person to finish off our canoe trip. I stood there completely sober recording this old woman belittle the women of my group and repeatedly attempt to kick us off our her property.
Myself and family have been camping at Smiths since 2011. I love the family friendly environment and the amnenities offered that are kid and family friendly. Great place to relax and have fun. Check it out. Highly recommended to families of all ages. On a side note I have been reading these comments and it amazes me that people are wrong and they blame others. If you are responsible and respectful you will not have any problems both at the campground and out in the world. Being rude and not following the simple rules of someone else's property is just rude and disrespectful and is unacceptable on many levels.
